Arthur Spencer
at Taunton's 1932-40

Arthur Spencer DFC Ld'H passed away on 7 November 2025. We believe he was the oldest Old Tauntonian at the age of 104. His family have informed us that they are holding a celebration of his life at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton on what would have been his 105th birthday, Wednesday 11 February 2026 from 2-4pm. They would be delighted if any OTs could attend. Further details can be found by clicking HERE to view the invitation. Please let the family know by the end of January if you are attending.

Do have a look at the OTA Memorial Section of this website. This area contains details of those former pupils who fell in the Great War, the Second World War, and in conflicts since then. There is also a special separate section on two former pupils of Taunton's School who were awarded the Victoria Cross.
